Physician Pain Management - Competitive Salary

Job Description

As a 1099 physiatrist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and providing direct specialist services to patients for pain management and physical rehabilitation from work related injuries. You will work in a team environment with physical therapists, chiro, acupuncture among other clinical staff under the referral of the occupational medicine physician. You’ll also collaborate with employers in active case management.

Locations: Downtown San Diego and Chula Vista
Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of physical disabilities and conditions, including musculoskeletal issues, chronic pain, and neurological disorders from work-related injuries; assess patients’ medical history, physical exams, and x-rays

• Develop individualized treatment plans that may include physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, medications, injections, and non-surgical interventions to improve function and mobility

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists and medical doctors, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Educate patients on their conditions and its prevention and the rehabilitation process

• Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR
  

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical program with a M.D. or D.O. and an unrestricted California medical license.

• Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.

• Board certified or eligible in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.

• Active DEA registration required

• Current BLS certification required

• Current Medical Malpractice Insurance coverage.

• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.

• Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Background in occupational medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or outpatient setting is preferred.
