Location: CCHS Port of Columbia Office Building – Medical Records Department | Dayton, WA (Remote work available for the right candidate)

Position Status: Full-Time | 40 hours per week

Compensation: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm | Full-Time Benefits Offered

Join our team at Columbia County Health System! We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Referral Coordinator to support our Medical Records team. This role is responsible for coordinating patient referrals, ensuring timely communication, and serving as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and insurance partners. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and committed to delivering excellent patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare and/or Medical Records experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical insurance processes and referral workflows strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track patient referrals to ensure timely processing and completion
• Communicate with providers, specialists, and insurance companies to obtain necessary information and approvals
• Provide patients with referral details, appointment reminders, and ongoing support
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation within the electronic health record
• Serve as a resource and advocate for patients navigating the healthcare system
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams and external partners
