About the Position

The Registered Nurse Patient Navigator uses their perioperative-specific clinical experience and knowledge to navigate surgery patients through the perioperative diagnostic and treatment process. The Patient Navigator also performs pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) for surgery patients . The Patient Navigator establishes a positive and respectful relationship with patients and their families, and plays an essential role in facilitating a positive experience and outcome. ** This is an office position, and does not provide bed-side care .**

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements 

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) 

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date 

• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire. 

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) 

* At least 3 years of inpatient or outpatient orthopedic nursing experience required and/or medical/surgical experience. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with EPIC preferred. 

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
