Patient Access Service Rep.

Patient Access Service Rep

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Shift Timing: M -F 8- 4:30pm

Duration: 3+ Months

Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00

Job Description

  • The Patient Access Service Rep (PASR), follows the Client Performance Excellence Customer Service Standards. Greets and arrives patients.
  • Verifies and updates demographic information.
  • Collects monies for copays, supplies, and services rendered.
  • Balances daily cash collections.
  • Obtains patient signatures.
  • Assists patients with ancillary appointment scheduling and forms.
  • Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments.
  • Answers and directs telephone calls. All other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • A minimum of two years of prior experience as a receptionist/assistant or related field is required.
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written required. Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong proactive organizational skills a must. Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EpicCare is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
