Details Operating Room department within a hospital setting Must be able to scrub and circulate on robotics, orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery cases Performs pre-operative assessments, post-operative assessments, and pre-admission testing evaluations Schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (11a-12a) 36 hours per week On-call responsibilities required Must be willing to float, including to a sister hospital nearby Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active NJ or compact RN license required BLS certification required CNOR certification preferred Minimum 1 year of experience required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred Epic EMR experience preferred Additional Information Delivers competent nursing care across all patient age groups from pediatric to geriatric Performs thorough, systematic patient assessments and maintains accurate documentation Individualizes patient care according to surgical procedure and type of anesthesia Provides patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and instructions Evaluates pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness based on procedure, age, and health status Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and two-patient identifier verification Contributes to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on need and condition changes Local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-747194.
