Company Description California Center for Pain and Wellness is a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to improving quality of life for individuals living with acute and chronic pain. Located in Modesto, CA, the center focuses on evidence-based, patient-centered care that integrates interventional procedures, medical management, and rehabilitative therapies. The team collaborates across specialties to create individualized treatment plans designed to reduce pain, enhance function, and support long-term wellness. The practice emphasizes compassionate care, clear communication, and a supportive environment for both patients and clinical staff.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pain Medicine Physician role based in Modesto, CA. The physician will evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of pain conditions, including spine-related disorders, neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal pain, and post-surgical pain. Daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, reviewing diagnostic studies, developing and adjusting treatment plans, and performing interventional pain procedures as appropriate. The role involves collaboration with referring providers and allied health professionals, documentation in the medical record, and participation in quality improvement and best-practice initiatives. The physician is expected to provide patient education, ensure safe and effective prescribing, and maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct.
Qualifications

Training and experience in Pain Management, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions.
Background in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with appropriate residency and/or fellowship in pain medicine.
Clinical expertise in Spine-related care and general Medicine relevant to pain and functional restoration.
Current, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the state of California and board certification/board eligibility in a related specialty.
Strong diagnostic, procedural, and clinical decision-making skills, with commitment to evidence-based practice and safe opioid prescribing.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and build trust with patients.
Experience with electronic health records and basic computer literacy; willingness to participate in quality, compliance, and practice development activities.
Comfort managing a diverse patient population and interest in long-term continuity of care in a community-based setting.
