Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Reading basic telemetry strips required. Some experience with CVA and TIA required. Total joint replacement experience required.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months and may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Patient population includes CHF, COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, telemetry, post-cath, and total joint replacement patients. Does not titrate drips; Diltiazem/Cardizem drips are administered at a set rate. RNs are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once a shift. BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments are used on the unit. Nurse aides are available, typically 1:10-15.

Shift & Scheduling: Schedules are made out for 4 weeks. Self-scheduling is used but is not final until the manager balances the schedule. 2 weekends per 4-week schedule. For Christmas, New Year’s, and Thanksgiving, clinicians are expected to work 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and Thanksgiving Day. No call.

Floating Requirements: First to float. May float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
