Financial Planning AnalystAt Morgan Advanced Materials, we help solve complex industrial challenges through advanced materials and engineering expertise. Our Thermal Ceramics business supports customers across a range of industries where performance, reliability, and efficiency matter. We're looking for an FP&A Analyst to support our Augusta manufacturing operation. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting close to the business, partnering with operational leaders, and turning numbers into practical insights that help drive better decisions.You'll be the financial partner to our Augusta site, helping leadership understand what's happening across the operation and what it means for performance, profitability, and future planning. This isn't a role where you'll spend all day buried in spreadsheets (although there'll be plenty of those too). You'll work directly with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and site leadership to understand the drivers behind the numbers and help shape business decisions.Location: Augusta, Georgia (Onsite)The RoleSupport annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activitiesAnalyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior-year performanceInvestigate financial variances and identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesDevelop financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases to support decision-makingPartner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to understand manufacturing performance and cost driversAnalyze labor, material, inventory, overhead, and production variancesSupport standard costing activities and assess the financial impact of operational changesMonitor plant KPIs and translate operational performance into meaningful financial insightsPrepare monthly reporting, dashboards, and management information packsSupport capital expenditure evaluations, including ROI and payback analysisIdentify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvement, and profitability enhancementProvide clear financial guidance to both finance and non-finance stakeholdersDeliver ad hoc analysis that helps leaders make informed decisions, not just tick boxesAbout YouBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, management accounting, or a similar finance roleExperience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, or operational environmentStrong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysisProven ability to analyze financial and operational data and translate findings into actionable recommendationsAdvanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, PivotTables, lookups, and data analysisStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in plain EnglishComfortable partnering with operational teams and site leadershipOrganized, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities effectivelyIt Would Be Great If You Also HaveExperience supporting a manufacturing plant or multi-site operationKnowledge of standard costing, inventory, labor, material, and overhead analysisExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platformsExperience using Power BI or other reporting and business intelligence toolsExposure to capital expenditure analysis and investment business casesCPA, CMA, MBA, or progress toward a professional finance qualificationExperience supporting continuous improvement or cost reduction initiativesWhat You'll GetA highly visible role with direct access to site and business leadershipThe opportunity to influence operational and financial decision-makingExposure to manufacturing operations and strategic business initiativesA collaborative environment where Finance is a genuine business partnerCompetitive salary and benefits packageFull-time, onsite position based in Augusta, GeorgiaMorgan Advanced Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
