Details Work in a combination lab covering IR, Cardiology, Vascular, and EP procedures, with an approximate 80% IR and 10% other procedure split Adult and geriatric patient population Patient diagnoses include device implants such as PPM and ICD Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures including scrubbing and circulating for IR/Cath Lab cases Uses GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Pneumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit, IABP, and Impella 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Call requirement of a minimum of 7 call days per month, typically two call days per week for two weeks each month plus one call weekend per month Call team consists of three staff members, including one RN Weekend coverage required every third weekend No floating requirement Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with significant IR experience (90% of caseload is IR) ACLS, BLS, and ARRT or RCIS certification required ARRT Advanced certification, RCES, or RCIS with medical experience preferred License required if applicable Skills required include scrubbing, circulating, and telemetry monitoring Experience with EKG lead placement preferred Must be able to work with adult and geriatric patient populations Medication administration is performed by RNs only Additional Information Assist providers during diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures Responsibilities include vascular studies, carotid stenting, genitourinary procedures, catheter/drain exchange, biliary drainage, cholangiograms, renal and ureteral stent placement, cardiac catheterization, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, kyphoplasties, and biopsies Techs begin directly on the unit on Mondays until Dimensions training is completed Unit orientation is 40-80 hours Scrubs are provided No holiday RTO is allowed for this role Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved as long as it does not fall on a holiday No RTO is permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation Must work 2 of 3 major holidays Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower rate Former Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before reapplying and disclose prior employment details for facility approval Travel pairs are allowed if on different units and disclosed First-time travelers will be considered for this role American Traveler Job ID #P-740205.
