Role Description This is contractor job as an Independent LO, (high) commission based, on-site Mortgage Loan Originator role based in Aurora, CO. The Mortgage Loan Originator will meet with prospective borrowers, assess their financial situations, and recommend appropriate mortgage products. Daily responsibilities include taking and processing loan applications, collecting and reviewing documentation, and communicating regularly with borrowers to explain loan terms, timelines, and requirements. The role involves coordinating with underwriters, processors, and real estate agents to ensure smooth loan approvals and closings, while maintaining compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The Mortgage Loan Originator is also expected to develop new business through referrals, outreach, and relationship-building activities, and to maintain accurate records in the company’s loan origination systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to guide borrowers through the mortgage application process and explain loan products, terms, and eligibility requirements clearly.
• Strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills to work effectively with clients, real estate professionals, and internal teams.
• Understanding basic financial analysis, and regulatory requirements; prior experience in residential lending or banking is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency with loan origination software and standard office tools; strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
• Ability to work on-site in Aurora, CO, operate with integrity, and maintain confidentiality of borrower information.
• State mortgage loan originator licensing (or eligibility to obtain required licenses) and compliance with applicable NMLS requirements.
