This role holds the state-required certified applicator credentials necessary to legally supervise unlicensed technicians and is directly responsible for the day-to-day management of service delivery, technician performance, documentation compliance, and customer satisfaction within an assigned branch or territory. The Manager serves as the direct supervisor for all Pest Control Technicians and the primary point of escalation for field-level issues.Preferred Location: Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NCEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Plan, assign, and oversee daily service routes for all technicians — balancing efficiency, service quality, and compliance requirementsConduct regular ride-along and field inspections to evaluate technician performance and service qualityServe as the on-call resource for field emergencies, customer escalations, and after-hours issuesMonitor callback rates, re-treatment requests, and customer satisfaction scores for assigned territoryCoordinate scheduling for follow-up visits, initial inspections, and high-priority accountsDirectly supervise all Pest Control Technicians — providing daily direction, performance feedback, and coachingConduct new technician onboarding, field training, and initial ride-along certificationsMonitor technician license status and coordinate continuing education and renewal activitiesConduct performance evaluations and document corrective actions per company policyLegally supervise unlicensed technicians per North Carolina and South Carolina structural pest control regulations — ensuring NC Registered Technicians are registered with NCDA & CS within 75 days of hire, SC technicians operate under a licensed applicator, and all supervision and direct-supervision requirements are metEnsure all service records are completed accurately and on time — including product application details, EPA registration numbers, technician license numbers, and re-entry intervalsReview and approve technician service reports daily for completeness and regulatory complianceOversee pre-service customer notification procedures and maintain notification logsEnsure proper documentation for sensitive site services (schools, daycares, healthcare facilities)Maintain chemical use logs and ensure proper product storage and handling by all techniciansAssist in preparation for state regulatory audits or inspectionsPerform certified pesticide applications on accounts requiring a licensed applicatorHandle Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) applications — the only authorized applicator role for RUPs in the fieldReview and approve treatment plans for high-risk or non-standard accountsStay current on label changes, new product registrations, and application best practicesAct as the primary point of contact for customer escalations beyond the technician levelConduct follow-up calls or visits for accounts with service concerns, callbacks, or complaintsAssist with commercial account inspections, proposals, and service agreement reviewsBuild and maintain relationships with key recurring accounts in assigned territoryEnforce company PPE and safety protocols in the field — conducting regular safety auditsConduct monthly safety meetings and document attendance and topics coveredManage incident reporting for any field accidents, pesticide exposures, or adverse reactionsEnsure all technicians complete required OSHA and safety trainingPosition Requirements:Active structural pest control applicator credential in the assigned state — North Carolina Certified Applicator in Phase P (Household/General Pest) and Phase W (Wood-Destroying Organisms), issued by the NCDA & CS Structural Pest Control & Pesticides Division, and/or South Carolina Commercial Applicator License in Category 7A (Industrial, Institutional, Structural & Health-Related Pest Control), issued by the Clemson University Department of Pesticide RegulationMinimum 3-5 years of pest control field experienceDemonstrated experience supervising or training field staffSolid understanding of North Carolina (NCDA&CS) and South Carolina (Clemson DPR) structural pest control regulations, FIFRA requirements, and documentation standardsStrong knowledge of pest identification across common structural pests (termites, rodents, cockroaches, bed bugs, ants, etc.)Proficiency in pest control business software for scheduling, service records, and reportingValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordPreferred Qualifications:Experience managing multiple technicians across a multi-route territoryFamiliarity with IPM (Integrated Pest Management) programs for commercial or sensitive site accountsAssociate Certified Entomologist (ACE) designationQuality Pro CertificationWhat We Offer:Competitive base salary between $55,000 - $65,000Healthcare Plans (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life)401k Company Matching Plan, after 90-days of employmentMaternity, Paternal, and Additional Leave OptionsRemote Position based in Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NCFlexible Personal Time Off (PTO)Fun and collaborative work environment with training and feedback-rich culture.Join a team where your work makes a daily difference, not just to our clients but to the environment.
