Registered Dietician

Job Opportunity

Valeo Resources has partnered with a national mental health organization that is opening its residential facility in Ford City, PA! We are currently seeking candidates for a part time Registered Dietician to join the team! In this role, you will be working with those suffering from possible co-occurring eating and mental health disorders along with coordinating menus with the Executive Chef to ensure nutrition is optimized within our facility.

Position: Registered Dietician

Location: Ford City, PA

Schedule: part time, hourly

Responsibilities:

• The role of dietitians in supporting the physical health of consumers experiencing mental illness is becoming more widely recognized given the importance of lifestyle interventions for physical health.

Requirements:

• Conducts nutrition assessments for all assigned patients in accordance with policy and procedures and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Contributes to multidisciplinary case conceptualization and treatment planning.
• Provides group nutrition education as assigned.
• Provides active meal coaching and support for patients and families/communities of support, including participating in and completing Therapeutic Supported Meals/Snacks as appropriate and as assigned.
• Provides nutrition specific transition/aftercare planning for all patients including communication with internal and external dietitians to ensure coordination of care.
• Collaborates with Nutrition and Culinary Manager and nutrition team when needing or providing clinical coverage.

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian credential required.
• Bachelor's or master's in nutrition or dietetics
• Current license in the state of employment (PA) required.
• One year of clinical experience
