Ultrasound Technologist (Cardiac Sonographer)

Join the team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Cardiac Sonographer) at a hospital in Boston, MA where you will perform diagnostic echocardiography studies to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. You will perform 2-dimensional, color Doppler, continuous wave Doppler and pulsed wave Doppler studies, as well as stress and dobutamine echocardiograms. You will review clinical history, explain procedures to patients, position patients for exams, perform portable studies as needed, record and verify results, maintain test rooms and equipment, and notify the referring physician or house officer of preliminary findings when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

• National certification in cardiac sonography from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer, with demonstrated proficiency in echocardiography.
• Proven ability to perform and interpret 2D, color Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, and pulsed wave Doppler studies.
• Experience performing stress and dobutamine echocardiograms.
• Ability to perform portable studies and safely mobilize ultrasound equipment.
• Experience documenting and preparing accurate test reports and using ancillary recording devices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-acuity hospital or cardiac catheterization environment.
• Familiarity with non-imaging continuous Doppler techniques.
• Experience reviewing charts to correlate clinical history with imaging findings.

Assignment Details

• Shift Days: Monday through Friday.
• Shift Hours: 08:00 to 16:30.
• May be required to perform multiple portable studies per day.
