Accounting Operations Manager Location: Horsham PA Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM5:00 PM Employment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewTurn 14 Distribution is seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounting Operations Manager to lead our accounts payable and vendor accounting operations. This role oversees critical financial workflows including purchase order receipt and invoice matching vendor reconciliations transaction exceptions and inventory-related accounting Accounting Operations Manager will lead and develop a team strengthen internal controls improve operational efficiency and ensure accuracy across high-volume financial transactions. Working closely with Purchasing Warehouse Operations Receiving Inventory Control and General Accounting this individual will identify the root causes of operational challenges and implement sustainable ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment promotes accountability and is passionate about developing employees and driving continuous improvement. This individual will play an important role in supporting Turn 14 Distributions continued growth while upholding our Core Values and corporate ResponsibilitiesEmbody Turn 14 Distributions Core Values and corporate philosophy in daily daily accounts payable and vendor accounting operations ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices credits payments and related financial purchase order receipt and invoice matching processes investigating and resolving pricing receiving and invoice vendor statement reconciliations aging reports outstanding invoices credits and unresolved with Purchasing Warehouse Operations Receiving Inventory Control and General Accounting to resolve operational issues and maintain transaction inventory-related accounting activities including cost of goods sold (COGS) variances inventory adjustments and the identification reconciliation collection and application of vendor credits rebates stock returns and other recovery vendor prepayments payment terms and early-payment discount opportunities in collaboration with relevant month-end close activities balance sheet reconciliations financial reporting and internal and external audit coach and develop Accounting Operations team members fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous clear performance expectations provide ongoing feedback conduct performance evaluations and support employee departmental workload staffing training and priorities to ensure operational efficiency and timely completion of as the primary escalation point for vendor accounting matters transaction discrepancies and unresolved operational implement and maintain departmental policies standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal controls to ensure consistency accuracy and recurring operational challenges evaluate root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions in partnership with cross-functional process improvements automation and ERP enhancements to strengthen operational efficiency and financial and monitor departmental performance metrics including transaction accuracy processing timeliness exception resolution and outstanding and communicate operational reports highlighting performance trends unresolved issues and opportunities for business acquisitions system integrations and other organizational initiatives impacting accounting additional duties and special projects as Skills and AbilitiesStrong understanding of accounts payable vendor accounting purchasing-to-payment workflows and related internal knowledge of inventory accounting purchasing receiving and transaction reconciliation leadership coaching and employee development capabilities with the ability to establish expectations and foster analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify root causes and drive issues through organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy consistency and financial to communicate effectively and professionally with employees vendors leadership and cross-functional business ERP knowledge and an understanding of transaction flows across purchasing receiving inventory and accounting to identify process improvement opportunities strengthen internal controls and implement sustainable judgment decision-making and conflict-resolution skills including the ability to recognize when escalation is to manage confidential information with discretion and lead teams effectively through organizational degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field preferred or equivalent relevant of five years of experience in accounts payable accounting operations vendor accounting or related financial of three years of direct people management experience including coaching performance management and employee managing high-volume transactional processes and resolving operational and accounting working with ERP systems; SAP experience partnering cross-functionally with Purchasing Receiving Inventory Control Warehouse Operations and in distribution wholesale manufacturing automotive or other inventory-intensive environments developing procedures improving workflows and implementing operational with Google Workspace including Sheets Docs Gmail and Drive.
