Shift: Saturday and Sunday PM: 2pm-10:30pm NOC: 10:00pm-6:30am

Summary We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at New Dawn Treatment Center. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our medical staff and enhancing the client experience through compassionate care and efficient medical assistance.

Responsibilities

* Assist healthcare providers with client examinations and procedures. * Take and record vital signs and medical histories accurately. * Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medical office environment. * Provide exceptional client service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. * Maintain accurate client records in compliance with healthcare regulations. * Support the medical team in delivering high-quality care to clients. * Under supervision of medical staff, monitors, logs, and report detoxification symptoms and/ or significant changes to Director of Nursing, Staff Nurse, or on call MD. * Medication pass (controlled and non-controlled)/ observation of self-administration. Physical documentation of controlled medications * Reporting medication errors. * Drive vehicles to pick up medications, transport clients, etc.

Requirements

* Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. * Experience in a hospital or urgent care setting is preferred. * Strong knowledge of physiology and internal medicine principles. * Ability to take vital signs accurately and perform basic medical procedures. * Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service. * Familiarity with X-ray procedures is a plus.
