QC Chemist About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Chemist to join our Quality Control team in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment. In this role, you will perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a chemist with hands-on HPLC experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, science-driven environment and wants to expand their expertise across a variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation.

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing using HPLC and other laboratory instrumentation.
• Analyze raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to approved test methods.
• Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and mobile phases for laboratory testing.
• Accurately document analytical results and maintain laboratory records in compliance with GMP , SOPs, and data integrity requirements.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
• Participate in laboratory investigations, deviations, and out-of-specification (OOS) activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to support testing schedules and product release timelines.
• Manage multiple analytical methods and instruments with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail once fully trained.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences , or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Control or analytical laboratory environment.
• Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting HPLC systems.
• Experience preparing samples, interpreting analytical data, and documenting laboratory activities in a regulated setting.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations , SOP compliance, data integrity principles, and quality standards.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results.

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

• UPLC
• Gas Chromatography (GC)
• USP Compendial Testing
• Elemental Analysis
• Mass Spectrometry (MS)
• LC/MS
• FTIR
• Chromatography method execution and troubleshooting
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing or pharmaceutical quality systems

• 100% onsite laboratory-based position
• First Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Collaborative team of approximately 8 laboratory professionals
• Structured onboarding, mentorship, and hands-on training program
• Opportunity to work independently once training and competency requirements are completed
• Occasional extended days may be required to support analytical testing and instrument run schedules

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
