The Westin Westminster

Compensation:

• $19.00 per hour – candidates without previous Marriott brand experience.
• $20.00 per hour – candidates with previous Marriott brand experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and guest-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at The Westin Westminster. As the first point of contact for many of our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable arrival and departure experience.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. Previous Marriott experience is valued, and candidates with Marriott brand experience are eligible for a higher starting rate.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival and provide efficient, courteous check-in and check-out services.
• Accurately process reservations, room assignments, room changes, and guest requests using LightSpeed.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
• Utilize GXP to document guest requests and follow up to ensure completion.
• Provide detailed information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
• Accurately manage cash, credit card transactions, deposits, and room charges in compliance with hotel procedures.
• Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Bell Services, and other departments to meet guest needs.
• Monitor room availability, special requests, and guest preferences throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Front Desk area.
• Communicate important guest and operational information to Front Office leadership and other shifts.
• Uphold Westin and Marriott brand standards in every guest interaction.

Qualifications:

• Previous hotel Front Desk or customer service experience preferred.
• Previous Marriott brand experience strongly preferred and qualifies candidates for the $20.00 per hour starting rate.
• Candidates without Marriott brand experience will start at $19.00 per hour.
• Experience with LightSpeed (LSPMS), MARSHA, GXP, or other Marriott systems is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a guest-focused mindset.
• Ability to multitask, remain calm, and work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Comfortable handling guest concerns and finding appropriate solutions.
• Proficiency with computers and reservation systems; basic math skills required.
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented.
• Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
