Shift Leader

Job Summary The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in the operation of a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure high‑quality products and customer service are delivered, supporting restaurant profitability. Other responsibilities include managing operations, executing company policies, procedures, programs and systems, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ethical business practices. Duties and Responsibilities Adheres to guidelines, techniques and expectations for each station, including dough management, accuracy and proper portioning. Performs assigned workstation duties such as making quality products, follows all product preparation procedures and maintains established product holding times. Consistently contributes to achieving the company’s product goal, meeting the needs and expectations of customers, minimizing complaints and responding appropriately to customer needs. Follows all policies and procedures as outlined in the temple handbook, including image standards, attendance, safety and security. Exemplifies core values, maintains a positive attitude, works well with others and is flexible and adaptable to change. Ensures adequate shift coverage, provides immediate feedback and corrects problems when identified, and maintains product quality, customer service and performance responsibilities (such as MCE readiness, food/labor costs, and restaurant cleanliness) within acceptable standards. Contributes to profit goals by ensuring they stay within company guidelines and target goals, accurately utilizes the FOCUS system, executes cash management duties and assists in managing adequate inventory levels to minimize loss. Education, Experience & Certifications High School diploma or GED preferred Serv‑Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred Successful and stable employment history Must be 18 years of age or older Must be able to work long hours (32+ hours generally required), scheduled or unscheduled, which will include nights, weekends and as emergencies arise Ability to successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant.
