We're developing fully integrated hardware and software systems, including Lattice for Space Missions and modular payloads, to address growing threats in space and ensure our Guardians maintain a decisive advantage in this contested warfighting domain.ABOUT THE JOBAs the ISSM, you will serve as the senior security authority for the Space team, leading all Risk Management Framework and Assessment & Authorization activities across classification levels. You'll own the authorization portfolio, drive continuous monitoring strategy, and ensure our IT engineering and networking infrastructure operates in a compliant, hardened posture at all times.WHAT YOU’LL DOLead all RMF processes for system authorizations (ATO, IATT, IATO) and develop and maintain System Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports, and POA&Ms — tracking remediation within required timeframesManage the continuous monitoring program including vulnerability scans, account audits, access reviews, and risk assessments across all protection levelsCoordinate security control assessments with validators, SCAs, and Authorizing Officials, and interface with government security organizations (DISA, NSA, DIA, service CIOs) as the primary technical security representativeLead incident response for security events requiring investigation, containment, and reportingProvide direct leadership and mentorship to ISSOs, establishing performance expectations and ensuring comprehensive security coverage across all systemsManage GRC platforms, track compliance evidence, and brief leadership and customers on authorization status, security posture, and risk decisionsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of experience in information assurance or cybersecurity, with direct RMF and A&A experienceDoD 8570/8140 compliance at IAM Level II or higher (e.g., CAP, CASP+, CISM, or CISSP)Demonstrated experience managing system authorization packages (SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms) across multiple classification levelsExperience interfacing with government Authorizing Officials and security control assessorsStrong understanding of NIST 800-53 security controls and CNSSI 1253Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCISSP or CISM certificationExperience with space systems or satellite program security environmentsFamiliarity with GRC platforms (eMASS, Xacta, or similar)Prior experience leading or mentoring a cybersecurity teamBackground working with DISA STIGs and SCAP-based vulnerability management toolsExperience briefing senior leadership and government customers on risk decisionsUS Salary Range$146,000—$194,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
