Claims Adjuster

A leading insurance organization is seeking a Claims Technical Specialist with strong General Liability and litigation management experience. This role supports complex and litigated GL claims, provides technical guidance to examiners, and drives best‑practice execution across the casualty claims team. What You’ll Do Manage a portfolio of moderate to complex general liability claims , including construction, premises liability, products liability, and property damage. Oversee litigated matters , partnering with defense counsel on strategy, discovery, depositions, mediation, and settlement evaluation. Conduct detailed coverage analysis, evaluate liability and damages, and establish accurate reserves. Provide technical guidance to claims examiners on investigation quality, documentation, reserving, and litigation handling. Review legal budgets, monitor defense costs, and ensure alignment with litigation management guidelines. Prepare reports, large‑loss summaries, and recommendations for leadership. Collaborate with underwriting, risk control, and brokers to support account stewardship and improve outcomes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal best‑practice standards. Qualifications 7+ years of general liability claims experience , including direct handling of litigated files. Strong understanding of negligence, liability evaluation, damages assessment, and coverage interpretation. Experience managing outside counsel and executing litigation strategy. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to mentor junior examiners and elevate technical quality across the team.
