That is why we are dedicated to protecting and caring for vision every day.The Optical Technician is responsible for collecting and recording ocular and systemic patient histories, visual acuities, BP, IOP, Auto refractions, Manifest Refractions, performing external examinations, and dry-eye testing, as well as disease specific extra testing. Travel between clinic locations and/or overtime may be required based on operational needs.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesCollecting and recording patient medical historyInstructing patients on post-operative care, medication use, contact lens care and exam expectations.Performing visual acuity testing, auto and Manifest Refractions (measurements for the glasses prescription), tonometry (measuring eye pressure)Measuring pupil size and reactivityTesting elements of movement (eye muscle function)Performing confrontational visual field testing, pachymetry (Corneal thickness measurement)Performing dry eye testingMaintaining a sanitized environmentPerforming corneal topography, retinal nerve fiber layer measurements, retinal thickness and topography, fluorescein angiography, B-scan ultrasonographyAssisting with contact lens fitting and instructing patients on insertion and removal of contacts.Preparing for and assisting with in-office procedures including consenting patientsParticipating in light cleaning of the facilityBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceMatching 401(k) planPaid Time OffPaid holidaysEmployee discountCertification reimbursementCareer growth opportunitiesAbout Sight360We've assembled highly capable and credentialed multidisciplinary teams across ophthalmology, optometry, and optical retail services to deliver a comprehensive, 360-degree approach to vision care.
