Shop Foreman – Wallwork Truck Center Grand Forks

The Shop Foreman is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of technicians while supporting the daily operations of the service department. This position is ideal for a strong leader who is passionate about coaching others, building team culture, and helping technicians grow in their careers.

Technical knowledge is important, but success in this role is driven by leadership, communication, accountability, and the ability to develop people.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor technicians, apprentices, and trainees.
• Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Support technician development through training, feedback, and career planning.
• Help technicians improve their skills, confidence, and productivity.
• Coordinate shop workflow and prioritize work assignments.
• Maintain high standards of quality, customer service, and efficiency.
• Work closely with Service Advisors, Parts, and Service Management to support customer uptime.
• Promote a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a service, maintenance, trucking, agricultural, construction, or related environment.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to build and lead effective teams.
• Basic understanding of heavy-duty truck repair and shop operations preferred.
• Previous supervisory, lead technician, or team leadership experience preferred.

Education

Required: High School or better.

Experience

Preferred: 3 years: Diesel technician experience or equivalent training

Licenses & Certifications

Required: Drivers License

Preferred: CDL License
