Moses Lake is a city in Grant County, Washington with a population of approximately 20,000. Moses Lake is the largest city in Grant County. The city anchors the Moses Lake Micropolitan area, which includes all of Grant County and is part of the Moses Lake–Othello combined statistical area.

Moses Lake, on which the city lies, is made up of three main arms over 18 miles (29 km) long and up to one mile (1.6 km) wide. It is the largest natural body of fresh water in Grant County and has over 120 miles (190 km) of shoreline covering 6,500 acres. Before it was dammed in the early 1900s and then incorporated into the Columbia Basin Project, Moses Lake was a smaller shallow lake. To the south of the town is the Potholes Reservoir and the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge that has a number of seep lakes and vast amounts of migratory birds and other fauna natural to the area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Work both independently and as a member of a healthcare team to provide optimal services to a population of financially disadvantaged youth, ranging from 16 to 24 years in age
• Provide written diagnosis and treatment plan for each student within two weeks after completion of the dental readiness inspection and obtaining agreement for voluntary care before proceeding with such treatment.
• Advise and assist the health education instructor in the development and implementation of the Dental Health Education Program
• Instruct patient, individually and in groups, in proper oral hygiene care using materials such as teeth models, displays, disclosing solutions, toothbrushes, and floss.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Takes radiographs as instructed by the dentist; provides preventative topical application of fluoride and dental sealants; presents instruction on proper home care and works with patient's self-management goals; consults with patients on proper nutrition
• Provide student services in such a manner to obtain positive student satisfaction survey results as determined by Job Corps.
• Perform hygiene duties such as examining teeth and other oral structures, cleaning teeth, applying sealants and topical fluoride and perform radiological procedures without the direct supervision of a Dentist.

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene, Health Science or Allied Health from an accredited college or university
• Registered as a Dental Hygienist, licensed in the state of Washington
• 3 years of experience
• Medical liability insurance ($1 mil per occurrence/3 mil aggregate)

Period of Performance: June 15, 2021-May 31, 2026 (5-year contract)
