CWI / NDT Inspector

Location: Olean, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time or Temporary (2–3 Month Project)
Project Duration: 2–3 Months
Per Diem: $215/day (for eligible travelers)
Relocation: Candidates must be local to Olean, NY or willing to relocate.

Mistras Group Inc. is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / NDT Inspector to support a 2–3 month project in Olean, NY . We are hiring full-time employees and temporary project personnel .

Qualified candidates must be local to the area or willing to relocate. Per diem of $215/day is available for eligible TEMP travelers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual weld inspections in accordance with AWS codes and customer specifications.
• Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections following applicable procedures and industry standards.
• Inspect welds, materials, and components for quality and code compliance.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation.
• Communicate inspection findings with supervisors and customers.
• Follow all company safety policies and client requirements.
• Maintain certifications and comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Perform other inspection-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to pass required background screening, drug screening, and client-specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Level II NDT certifications (UT, MT, PT, VT, RT, or other methods).
• Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, power generation, or oil & gas environments.
• Additional API or ASNT certifications are a plus.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, codes, and specifications.
