Backed by our founders' successful exits from two previous ventures acquired for a combined $180M in 2022, we are committed to ensuring that the groundbreaking technologies we develop will have a real-world impact.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly driven Supply Chain Manager to build and scale our supply chain operations from the ground up. This role will be responsible for sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and logistics across a complex, regulated environment. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of critical components. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and understands the unique challenges of defense procurement. What You’ll Do:Supplier Sourcing & Management Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including negotiating pricing, lead times, and terms Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost) and drive continuous improvement Procurement & Planning Own the end-to-end procurement process (RFQs, POs, contract negotiations) Collaborate with engineering and production to forecast demand and manage inventory levels Mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity of critical materials Defense Compliance & Regulations Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations Maintain proper documentation and traceability for defense-related components Logistics & Operations Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including domestic and international shipments Optimize shipping strategies to balance cost, speed, and security Implement systems and processes to scale operations Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering on BOM optimization and design-for-supply-chain Support manufacturing with production readiness and material availability Work with finance on cost tracking and budgeting What You’ll Need: 8+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations (defense, aerospace, or hardware startup preferred) Strong understanding of defense regulations (ITAR/EAR/DFARS) Experience sourcing complex components (electronics, machined parts, etc.) Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage contracts Familiarity with ERP/MRP systemsAbility to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment What We Offer:Competitive salaryACS Equity PackageHealth, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time OffAllen Control Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer, providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
