Master Industrial Electrician

Master Skilled Trades Electrician

Works as a Master Skilled Trades Electrician on the production equipment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operate Mobile CMMS Device for Reactive Calls - and Preventive Maintenance assignments.
  • Proficient in navigating all HMI screens for operation and troubleshooting
  • Proficient troubleshooting PLC protocols- (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet)
  • Proficient troubleshooting ASI Bus
  • Demonstrates the ability to apply concepts learned in Fanuc Training or Equiv.-Handling Tool, DCS, ARC tool, and Electrical Maintenance.
  • Demonstrates Understanding of equipment operation for troubleshooting and recovery
  • Proficient in troubleshooting CNC control systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in reading and troubleshooting using electrical drawings.
  • Proficient in installing and aligning Light Curtains.
  • Install and Program Laser Distance Sensors.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Machine Safety Circuits
  • Robotics – Able to Home Robot, Troubleshoot, and Pendent Navigation.
  • Edit Robot Touch Points in the programming.
  • Understands Fanuc robot programming structure.
  • Proficient with Save/Restore robot programs/images.
  • Can utilize a laptop to review Ladder Logic in PLC for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Fanuc Robot Recovery (OJT) Training.
  • Proficient with Predictive Maintenance Tools – Infrared Camera, Ultrasonic, and Vibration Analysis Instrument.
  • Pyrometry Skillset Training – Shim Test, Carburizing furnace operation sequences.
  • Must comply with all Electrical Preventive Maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Proficient with Electrical Preventive Maintenance Inspections, Wire Harness, Filters, and Cable Management
  • Maintain technical knowledge of the National Electrical Standard by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Comply with all IATF policies and procedures.
  • Ability to train/mentor new electricians.
  • Performs all work safely.
  • Work with outside vendors and contractors as assigned.
  • Provide input into the plant RCA process (Root Cause Analysis)
  • Provide input for periodic PM reviews- Machine Reliability
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Valid Master's Electrician License in the State of Michigan
  • Minimum of eight (8) years verified Industrial Electrical experience preferred.
  • Candidates with at least six (6) years of verified experience who can demonstrate proficiency in all areas listed above may be considered for early promotion.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and understanding of automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Understanding of the mechanics of machine functionality.
  • Understanding and knowledge of conveyors, automation, and mechanical systems.
  • Must meet state requirements.
  • Must understand and follow all ARC flash regulations and practices.
  • Must have up-to-date technological training and experience of newer state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Must have own tools. Excluding Specialty Tools
Preferred Experience:
  • Manufacturing Experience.
  • Experience in the Automotive industry.
  • German and/or Spanish language skills.

The engineering lab includes a machine shop, where the associate is exposed to potentially hazardous equipment and moderate to high noise levels, both requiring the use of protective equipment to ensure the safety of the associate.
