Job Description

This role focuses on refurbishing and cleaning aluminum formwork used in construction projects. You will use hand tools and power tools to remove excess concrete, perform quality checks on aluminum forms, spray paint components, and bundle and load materials onto trucks in a fast-paced yard environment.

Responsibilities

• Refurbish and clean aluminum formwork to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
• Use hammers and other hand tools to knock off excess cement from aluminum forms.
• Perform visual and functional quality checks on aluminum forms before they are reused or shipped.
• Spray paint aluminum forms and related components as needed to maintain appearance and protection.
• Bundle aluminum forms securely for storage or transport.
• Load and unload aluminum forms and related materials onto and from trucks.
• Handle concrete-related tasks, including cleaning and preparing surfaces and equipment.
• Operate and safely handle basic power tools and hand tools as required.
• Perform general labor tasks in the yard, including lifting, moving, and positioning materials up to 50 lbs.
• Support multiple departments as needed, adapting to different tasks and priorities throughout the day.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following company safety procedures and guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with yard team members to complete daily production and shipping goals.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in construction or a similar labor-intensive environment.
• Proficiency using hand tools such as hammers and other basic tools for manual labor.
• Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including repetitive tasks.
• Capability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs safely and consistently.
• Experience working with concrete, including cleaning and handling concrete forms.
• Familiarity with power tools and safe operating practices.
• Reliability and willingness to work 1st shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with aluminum or other metal formwork in a construction environment.
• Comfort working in an outdoor or semi-outdoor yard environment in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to move between departments and take on different tasks as needed.
• Strong attention to detail when performing quality checks and preparing materials for shipment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a small yard operation with approximately 35 individuals working on-site. Team members often wear many hats and may move from one department to another depending on where help is needed, creating a dynamic and collaborative environment. Work is hands-on and primarily outdoors or in yard areas, involving construction materials, aluminum formwork, concrete, hand tools, and power tools. The position follows a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, and T-shirts; cut-off T-shirts are not allowed. Safety and proper use of tools and equipment are emphasized to maintain a productive and secure workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nazareth, PA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
