Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (EIT) with 3-5 years of experience to join a growing engineering team in San Antonio. This position offers the opportunity to work on the design and development of HVAC and mechanical building systems for a variety of commercial, healthcare, education, municipal, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate is motivated to grow technically, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and work toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. Responsibilities: Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems for a variety of project types. Perform engineering calculations including load calculations, equipment sizing, and energy analyses. Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports. Coordinate designs with architects, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering teams. Assist with site visits, field investigations, and construction administration activities. Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction. Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards. Support project managers in maintaining schedules, budgets, and client communication. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required (or ability to obtain shortly after hire). 3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in MEP consulting. Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial buildings. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; experience with HVAC design software such as Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, or similar is a plus. Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, mechanical codes, and industry best practices. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
