Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

We are recruiting full- or part‑time Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) to work with pediatric patients with a range of neurological, cognitive, and social/emotional disabilities. Pay: $42,000 – $86,000. Job Description A Physical Therapist Assistant will assist a Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans and delivering physical therapy services in the home and community. Responsibilities Perform evaluations and interpret assessment results, develop goals appropriate to each child, and create and implement treatment plans in cooperation with the Physical Therapist. Assist pediatric patients in developing or regaining physical, neurological, cognitive and/or social/emotional functioning, enhancing independence. Educate, coach, and empower caregivers and families to carry over therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine. Coordinate with referral partners, including Early Intervention Colorado, to provide services per physician orders and IFSP. Ensure continuity of care following discharge by designing and teaching home exercise programs. Document patient care services and care coordination in the electronic medical record. Maintain confidentiality and patient confidence in all information. Requirements Texas State PTA License. Current CPR certification. Preferred: minimum of 1 year of experience.
