Float Mammography Technologist Sign-On Bonus of up to $7,500*. Relocation Assistance Eligible for Qualified Technologists. Work Location: Float Coverage for Houston Area Centers Work Hours: (Full-Time) Monday-Friday between 6:30am-5:00pm, depending on business needs. (Occasional Saturdays Required) The Float Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. Department/Center Highlights Onsite Radiologists ACR Certified Centers Excellent Work-Life Balance Here Is What You Will Need Texas Medical Board License - TMB Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience. Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years. Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred. A Day in the Life of a Float Mammography Technologist: Provide services and support for the following areas: Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique; Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health; Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions; Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills; Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
