Senior Application Developer

Salary: $115,008 - 154,656 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for demonstrated experience designing complex enterprise application and data integration solutions across different platforms, applications, databases, and organizational settings, including near-real-time and batch patterns.
• We need advanced experience building complex ETL and data integration solutions for enterprise data warehouses, data marts, and operational systems using tools such as Informatica and/or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• We require demonstrated experience developing and integrating SOAP and REST web services and APIs, with working knowledge of XML, JSON, WSDL, XSD, and related interface standards.
• We are seeking demonstrated proficiency in SQL and database programming, along with experience using scripting or programming languages such as Python, VBScript, and/or batch scripting to develop, automate, and coordinate integration solutions.
• We need demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application and data integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, conduct code and quality assurance reviews, optimize solutions, and support mission-critical production environments.
• We require demonstrated experience applying SDLC, source control, testing, release and change management, technical documentation, and deployment practices, plus the ability to provide technical consultation, establish integration standards, and collaborate with technical teams, project teams, and customers.

• Preferred: five years developing solutions in a middleware environment such as Informatica or MQ.

• We design application and near-real-time data integration solutions that connect mission-critical state enterprise systems such as AFRS, HRMS, and data warehouses with other agency applications.
• We develop integration code across disparate platforms and technologies and build workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
• We write and maintain code for web services and APIs, including SOAP and REST interfaces, using XML, WSDL, XSD, and JSON.
• We consume web services and APIs from vendors and SaaS solutions to integrate enterprise data.
• We translate application requirements into working integration code and determine the architecture for data integration applications.
• We create WSDL documents that define web service requests and responses.
• We write and maintain code documentation and technical specifications.
• We apply standardized release management processes to plan, test, schedule, and implement deployments through lower environments and validate production releases through the change management system.
• We design and implement statewide Enterprise Data Warehouse ETL processes and lead current and emerging enterprise data movement solutions.
• We design and develop complex ETL processes for enterprise data warehouses and data marts using tools such as Informatica and SSIS.
• We provide ongoing maintenance and support for enterprise integration solutions.
• We perform detailed code and quality assurance reviews for new integrations and enhancements.
• We carry out real-time root-cause analysis for production issues using skills in SQL, databases, data integration, web services, SAP, and VSAM.
• We monitor production data exchanges to ensure timely delivery of files, messages, and data.
• We analyze and document integration standards, best practices, definitions, and business rules.
• We assist customers with integrations, complex issue resolution, and architecture.
• We help resolve urgent production failures.
• We analyze and resolve complex application integration problems.
• We determine and recommend the overall design for application integration solutions.
• We research innovative options to establish standards for data and application templates and processes.
