Production Supervisor 5

Our client a Automotive Manufacturing company is looking for a Production Supervisor 5 for their Lansing MI location.

• The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.
• Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods equipment performance product quality or efficiency.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems analyzing production quality control and maintenance to detect production problems.
• Hire train evaluate and discharge staff and resolve personal grievances.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

• Verbal communication skills attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
• Knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of design techniques tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans blueprints drawings and models
• The role offers immediate hands-on leadership experience in a client manufacturing environment and responsibility for running a production team of approximately 3045 employees.

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in business or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 10 years required. Leadership and people-management experience are the priority; manufacturing experience is strongly preferred but may be considered a bonus for a strong leader.
• Candidate profile: Proven experience managing a team quick learning ability and the ability to understand vehicle assembly and production operations.
• Technology:
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel. Candidate should be able to navigate spreadsheets and create simple charts and tables.
• Google Workspace experience is also preferred; expert-level proficiency is not required.
