Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Olympia, Washington. This position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients, including surgical, medical, and telemetry cases on a 7th floor tower. The role requires flexibility to float between units and adherence to a high standard of patient care. Job Details Location: Short-term acute care facility with 325 staffed beds, specializing in surgical, medical, and telemetry patients. Position Description: Med Surg/Tele 7th Floor Tower. This role involves managing a wide range of medical-surgical patients, including post-surgical, medical, and telemetry cases. Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: BLS certification, current state license (compact license accepted), minimum 2 years of experience in similar settings, and 5 years of patient ratio experience. Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience, EPIC charting system proficiency, and experience with medical telemetry patients monitored by on-site central monitoring. Certifications: BLS required. Additional Responsibilities: Managing ports, central line care, chest tubes, bladder irrigation, epidural analgesia, feeding tube management, isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drips, oxygen administration, wound care, tracheostomy care, rapid response, and wound vac. Travel experience is not explicitly required. Unit Details: Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The patient census averages 29 per day. Requirements: Candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant experience, be able to float between units, and submit references covering the last 3 years. No local candidates; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius. Submission Instructions: Candidates must include responses to prior employment at Providence facilities and provide two references. Travel assignments require commitment to working holidays and pre-approved RTO requests.
