Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

What you will do Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment or system malfunctions. Contact the customer representative to ascertain equipment or system problems. Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial and residential applications, including wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre‑action, deluge and fire pump systems. How you will do it Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, modification notices, and other documentation to diagnose and repair equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. Demonstrate a high level of customer service, strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly. Work independently. Required 3-5 years of documented experience in the fire sprinkler service industry performing service and repair on sprinkler and suppression systems. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements. Overnight travel may be required. Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs. Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements. Follow verbal and written instructions. Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs. Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high‑lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, or above ceilings. Follow, read, and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer. Preferred NICET Level II certification is a plus. Backflow certification is a plus. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $28-38 (depending on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities). This position includes a competitive benefits package.
