Travel Physical Therapist - $2,337 per week

Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 26‑week assignment in Puyallup, Washington. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Compensation is competitive and includes comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized equipment and modalities. Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in physical therapy; new graduates are welcome. Other certifications or licenses as required. Required Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Ability to read comprehending written instructions and follow verbal instructions; PC skills. Physical abilities: remain in stationary position, move equipment 50–100 lbs, push, pull, bend. Interpersonal skills: work effectively with personnel of diverse roles. Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, move equipment during procedures. Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines, handle irregular schedule, maintain concentration. Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
