Senior Human Resources Manager (Food Manufacturing, Bilingual)

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (Bilingual, Food Manufacturing) Dessert Holdings is the leading premium dessert company in the world. Dessert Holdings is looking for a SeniorHuman Resources Manager to lead a 3-person HR team overseeing our manufacturing facilities in Kennesaw, GA and Smyrna, GA . Reporting to the Regional Sr. Human Resources Director, this position requires both hands‑on execution as well as support of HR processes, programs, policies, and management practices that are in alignment and support overall Company objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with site management through providing advice, support, and coaching in a visible and approachable way to foster a culture consistent with company values. Provide support and guidance to the HR team at the facility when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise or are escalated. Manage and support performance review and goal setting process and tools, working with all leaders across the business to ensure alignment. Develop talent strategy, staffing plans, and manage the execution of the recruiting process for hourly employees and support salaried professional recruiting by partnering with Corporate Talent Acquisition Manager. Develop employee communications and support employee engagement and understanding of compensation and benefit programs, open enrollment, performance review/merit pay process. Partner with departmental leaders on job design, organization structure, job descriptions, and expectations to ensure roles and responsibilities are clear in all functions. Partner with HR and Operations leadership to define and execute talent strategy related to current and future talent needs, recruiting, succession planning, retention, and labor models. Support internal and external partners on unemployment, worker's comp, hiring and onboarding, terminations, and compliance. Partner with Safety and Operational leadership to develop a safety culture, strategy for employee safety, and a return-to-work program. Identify training and development needs, define budget, and develop training or work with external resources to deliver.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or business management At least 5 years of experience managing a Human Resource function and team, including experience with staffing, employee relations, benefits/compensation, and organizational development Bilingual language skills in English / Spanish or English / Haitian Creole is required Advanced knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment laws and practices Prior experience in a multi-shift, culturally-diverse manufacturing environment Prior HRIS experience (UKG a plus) Human Resources Certification preferred Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, prioritization, and decision‑making skills Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to support a multi-shift environment About Dessert Holdings Dessert Holdings is a collection of premium dessert companies and brands: The Original Cakerie, Lawler's Desserts, Atlanta Cheesecake Company, Steven Charles, Dianne's Fine Desserts, Kenny's Great Pies, and Willamette Valley Pie Company.
