Job Title: Patient Services Representative


Location: Los Angeles, CA 90048


Duration: 13 Weeks


Shift: Day - 5x8 Hours (08:00 AM - 05:00 PM)

Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative serves as the primary point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone. This role involves patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and ensuring a smooth patient experience within an outpatient clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for patient interactions (in-person and phone)
  • Greet patients and address concerns, escalating when necessary
  • Perform patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile payments
  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details in CS-Link/Epic
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient registrations
  • Process and track referrals and insurance authorizations
  • Manage communication between patients and healthcare providers
  • Explain policies, procedures, and services clearly to patients
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace per department guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Mandatory flu vaccination (no exemptions)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office
  • Experience with medical insurance, referrals, and benefit plans
  • Strong ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a Patient Service Representative
  • Experience with CS-Link/Epic systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
