Dental Assistant Trainee / Entry-Level (Four-Day Workweek!)

Key Responsibilities
Patient Communication & Administration
- Warmly welcome patients and guide them through pre- and post-operative instructions.
- Document patient questions and update health histories in Electronic Dental Records (EDR/EHR).
- Coordinate prescription refill requests under provider direction.
Clinical & Chairside Assisting (Trained On-the-Job)
- Obtain and record vital signs and update health histories.
- Place, expose, and process intraoral, panoramic, and digital radiographs.
- Perform diagnostic tooth vitality testing and take digital impressions or scans for diagnostic models.
- Assist the dentist during operative procedures, maintaining a clean and sterile clinical environment.
- Fabricate and deliver temporary crowns, custom bleaching trays, and fluoride trays.
- Provide clear Oral Health Instructions (OHI) and patient education.
- Assist in placing/removing matrix bands, periodontal dressings, and suture removal under direct dentist supervision.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
- Licensure: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with Washington State (we will assist eligible candidates with registration steps).
- Attributes: Strong communication skills, empathy, detail-oriented mindset, and a desire to learn!
