The successful candidate for this role is engaging, highly detailed, and is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally.The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of guests and employees and the property. This includes supporting other department activities to help assure the highest levels of guest and employee service. This is a tremendous opportunity for a driven person to grow and learn at a world-class property.Qualifications· High school diploma or equivalent.· Must have a valid driver's license.· Ability to communicate effectively.· Must be able to work with guests to resolve complaints in a positive manner.· Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner.· Must be willing to work a variety of shifts.· Previous law enforcement, safety, loss prevention, or security experience preferred.· Currently or able to become First Aid and CPR CertifiedEssential FunctionsActs with a sense of urgency to provide safety and security to guests and employees.Validates staff processes and procedures are adhered to by staff to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and security concerns.Respond in a timely manner to all requests when dispatched to an area for safety and security concerns.Identify and correct any unsafe conditions daily.Promotes a safe environment for employees and guests.Create detailed, accurate reports on safety and security incidents.Maintain effective communication with other team members and leaders.Identify areas of opportunity regarding guest and employee theft or dishonesty and partners with the Director of Safety and Security to investigate.Maintain confidentiality at all times.Conducts tasks assigned by the Director of Safety and Security and/or Safety and Security Supervisor including but not limited to perimeter reviews, safety equipment operations, key control, and employee/guest safety.Ability to address conflict and stressful situations with professionalism, courtesy, and empathy.Willingness to work day, mid, overnight, and holidays shifts as directed.Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests.Conduct Routine inspections of Safety equipment to include but not limited to Fire Extinguishers, First Aid Kits, Emergency Lighting, etc.Assist department heads to ensure Safety Data Sheets and information is up to date.Assist in conducting routine safety drills such as fire, power failure and weather incidents.Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entryAbility to create and maintain a positive image of the Staff and property.Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
