Job Title: Test Technician Job Description

The Test Technician will support the assembly and testing of advanced electronic products and systems in a production environment. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, performing electrical and RF testing on sub-assemblies and circuit boards while ensuring all products meet strict quality standards. It is a contract position with potential for long-term employment, based in Chelmsford, MA, and ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail and an interest in electronics.

• Perform electrical and RF testing on system sub-assemblies and circuit boards using both manual and automated test equipment.
• Work from process and work instructions, as well as detailed test plans, to ensure products meet established quality standards.
• Use various measuring instruments and electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes and other diagnostic tools, to verify performance and compliance with specifications.
• Document accurate test data and results in test databases, generate reports, and assist in improving test procedures and documentation.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and retesting of electronic assemblies to identify and resolve issues.
• Follow ESD procedures and proper handling practices to protect sensitive electronic components.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve throughput, support continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize test processes.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail while working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability while supporting team and production goals.

• Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping and accessing work instructions.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Experience with electrical and/or micro-electronics in a production or test environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of ESD procedures and safe handling of electronic components.
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes and other measurement tools.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on electronic assemblies and retest as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethic.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance, as required for the role.

• Hands-on experience with assembly, soldering, and wiring of electronic components and circuit boards.
• Experience performing electrical and RF testing on systems, sub-assemblies, and printed circuit boards using manual and automated test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electronics schematics and documentation.
• Exposure to both electrical and mechanical aspects of electronic systems.
• Interest in growing and learning within a technical, hands-on role.
• Experience working with PCB-level electronics and related test processes.
• Motivation to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a production test environment.

This position is based in a modern production and test facility in Chelmsford, MA, supporting advanced technology and defense-related products. The regular schedule is a 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with the possibility of overtime as needed. The selected candidate will be required to start and train on 1st shift for approximately the first month, working a full-time day schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. The facility operates on a 4/10 schedule, providing every Friday off. The work involves standing at benches, using electronic test equipment, oscilloscopes, and various measuring instruments in an ESD-controlled environment. Team members collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering staff, and follow established process and work instructions to maintain high quality standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Chelmsford, MA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Chelmsford,MA.
