This position is uniquely designed for a telehealth setting, enabling counselors to interact with clients in a familiar and comfortable environment. You will engage with geriatric patients through video calls, ensuring that they receive quality care tailored to their needs. Our organization values work-life balance, offering flexible hours Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, accommodating the diverse schedules of both counselors and clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their specific care needs through detailed intake interviews and standardized assessment tools.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions focused on emotional resilience, helping clients navigate changes related to aging, such as retirement, health deterioration, and loss of loved ones.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to create tailored care plans that address the unique psychological and emotional needs of each resident.

• Provide education and support to family members and caregivers on effective strategies to enhance the mental health and overall quality of life for their elderly loved ones.

• Conduct specialized grief counseling sessions for clients and their families experiencing end-of-life issues, fostering therapeutic environments conducive to healing.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n
