Laboratory Technician-Food Science/Nutrition Science

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Project Specialist to support ingredient quality and supplier change management activities within a regulated food and nutrition environment. This role is responsible for ensuring ingredient compliance, managing supplier notifications, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage supplier change notifications and track progress through completion

• Coordinate cross-functional assessments to evaluate quality and compliance impacts of supplier changes

• Support ingredient qualification activities to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements

• Conduct supplier and manufacturing documentation reviews and quality audits

• Collaborate with research and development, procurement, operations, and quality teams to maintain quality standards

• Analyze quality data and prepare reports on project status, risks, and performance metrics

• Communicate project updates, outcomes, and potential risks to stakeholders

• Support implementation of approved supplier-related process changes

• Maintain accurate documentation to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier quality and change management processes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline

• Experience working in a regulated food, nutrition, or ingredient manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of ingredient quality standards and regulatory requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with supplier quality management programs

• Experience with ingredient sourcing or supply chain processes

• Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation controls

Pay Range: $20/hr to $23/hr
