Supplier Quality Technician

As our Supplier Quality Technician, you'll be the first line of defense — inspecting incoming materials and components, catching issues before they become bigger problems, and helping keep our supplier base accountable to the standards our products require.This is a great fit whether you're looking to build a long-term career as a skilled Quality Technician, or eventually grow toward a Supplier Quality Engineer path — either way, you'll gain real, hands-on expertise in inspection, GD&T, and supplier quality systems that's valuable wherever your career goes from here.What You'll DoIncoming InspectionPerform receiving inspection on incoming materials and componentsIdentify, segregate, and disposition nonconforming materials received from suppliersMonitor and update inspection plans in the ERP system based on engineering changes or supplier performanceDocumentation & RecordsRetain and archive supplier material certificates, certificates of conformance, and inspection data in accordance with proceduresGather, review, and retain supplier PPAP deliverablesSupplier Quality SupportHelp determine supplier-at-fault issues identified in productionCommunicate directly with suppliers on nonconformance investigations and returnsCollect supplier performance data for ongoing monitoringReview part specifications to define, create, and set up inspection plansWhat You BringRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentBlueprint reading skillsExperience with measurement tools, including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)Intermediate-level GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Familiarity with PPAP processesProficiency with Microsoft Outlook and ExcelNice to HaveBroad understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies, and processesProficiency with ERP or inspection management systemsPhysical and mental demandsContinuous: Sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, reading, computer use, comprehensionFrequent: Problem solving, reasoning, complex information processing, fine motor skills for manipulating tools or equipment, walk and stand for inspectionsOccasional: Decision makingIntermittent: Lifting up to 30 lbsThe mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position
