This is a fantastic opportunity to teach clinical at well-known, established hospitals and medical facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facilityTeach a course load as assigned, including preparation for and instruction of theory classes and clinical laboratory experiencePlan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learningClarify daily clinical expectations with students during pre-conferenceClarify student placement and expectations with clinical facility staffMake patient/student assignments that meet both clinical objectives and patient needsDirect students in data collection and integration into their clinical paperwork; provide resources to students to ensure critical thinking through the nursing processCoordinate a daily plan with Clinical site to best observe, instruct, and evaluate studentsDirect post conference to ensure application of theoretical content to clinical experiences; provide opportunities for students to share learned experiences and verbalize feelingsEvaluate student progress and give feedback weekly; provide clear objectives for improvement as neededProvide immediate feedback of clinical performance following observation of skillsRequirements:Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse - current active license in the state of CaliforniaPrevious teaching experience, preferred but not requiredExcellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skillsFunctional abilities to carry out classroom, clinical and laboratory teaching responsibilitiesCompetence in clinical skills in areas of teachingCompetent in personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and emailEducation:RN with A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program A minimum of five years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, with five years’ experience in the specialty field, and 1 year of experience as a Clinical Instructor but not required.LVN with AA or AS degree + 6 years experience required or a BA or BS with 2 years experience required (any type of degree)Mon & Tues or Wed & Thurs or Sat & Sun AM or PM 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Some Fridays as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr Success Education Colleges
