Manufacturing Cost Accountant needs 1 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment

Manufacturing Cost Accountant requires:

oFluent in Microsoft Excel and Word applications

oUnderstanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and procedures

oPossess a positive attitude and be self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

oDetail oriented, and possess good organizational skills

oCommitted to team success through reliable attendance, accuracy and speed

oAble to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals

oDegree in Accounting

Manufacturing Cost Accountant duties:

oAssist Accounting/Finance management in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, audits and other projects as needed.

oConduct BOM (Bill of Material) update and cost roll-up to include maintaining and setting up inventory parts, product structures, manufacturing routing process and compound structures.

oMaintain customer owned tooling and vendor master records.

oMaintain fixed asset records and depreciation calculations utilizing SAGE fixed asset software

oParticipate in monthly closing, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

oPrepare various management reports to assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements.

oAssist in audits by external and internal auditors

oExecute special projects for the Cost Planning/ ERP system/AR department and other areas as necessary.
