The  Senior Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones.

Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 5:30PM CST, supervisor to determine schedule

Location : 1412 May St, Ft Worth, TX

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, guidance, support and direction for the front office and non-clinical staff
• Function as first contact for customer service issues
• May assist to coordinate work of other team members
• Resolve complex issues rarely deferring to supervisor/manager
• Serves as PSR mentor and trainer and provides expertise as SME to PSR staff
• Lead may need to be willing to travel within their own market for coverage, training, support needs, assisting with training newly acquired clinical locations, etc.
• May perform regular PSR duties to include greeting patients; complete check-in and check-out tasks; collecting co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles; answering phones, scheduling appointments, re-direct calls as appropriate, and assist callers with questions or concerns within the PSR scope
• In addition to regular PSR duties, at least 50% of time must be dedicated to clinic metrics/projects/initiatives as deemed by clinic leadership. Examples include but are not limited to the following:

o Onboards new PSR's

o Trains PSR's

o Safety Champion

o Clinic Policy/SOP champion, develop awareness/knowledge of SDO process to assist CA in administrative preparations

o Actively involved in assisting with the role out of any new training

• Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED 
• 3+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
• 3+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
• Intermediate level of proficiency in PC software computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other departmental specific programs/applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with medical insurance
• ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
• Prior experience with EMR computer applications
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Working knowledge of general office procedures

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $36.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
