Systems Administrator

We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Systems Administrator to join a leading Company located in theIndianapolis, IN surrounding area.

We are actively seeking a candidate who is well-versed in troubleshooting and resolving issues withinMicrosoft Intune-managed environments, while also operatingeffectively across desktop support, endpoint management, security compliance, and network-related challenges.You will be expected to move fluidly across technical domains. This means owning problems end-to-end rather than handing them off—while balancing user experience, security requirements, and operational efficiency. This role is in support ofa secure and enterprise-scale environment with federally regulated compliance requirements.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Troubleshoot and resolve Intune-related issues, including device configuration, policy application, compliance failures, and software deployment.
• Provide hands-on desktop support in an enterprise environment, including OS, hardware, and user-facing issues.
• Diagnose and address network connectivity issues (e.g., access restrictions, firewall rules, DNS, VPN, IP/Port/URL filtering).
• Navigate and resolve security and compliance-related challenges, including endpoint hardening, policy enforcement, and audit readiness.
• Operate effectively across multiple functions—including endpoint management, support, security, and asset management—without reliance on rigid team boundaries.

Basic Hiring Criteria:  

• Bachelor's degree in information systems or relevant field and 3+ years practical experience in the field.
• Ability to obtain public trust clearance.
• Ability to self-manage work tasks using M365-based tools.
• Demonstrated and provenability to independently resolve issues, improve day-to-day operations withself-driven initiatives, and operate with a growth mindset.
• Hands-on experience administering or operating network access controls in the form ofIP:Portor URL-based filters.
• Practical experience managing enterprise desktops withina Microsoft Intune managedenvironment.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and administering Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment – ideally including peripheral device management, asset management, and VOIP operations.
• Understanding and practical exposure to regulatory controls, baselines, and security policies within an Azure Entra and Intune-based environment with enterprise desktops and endpoints (CIS benchmarks, STIG, etc).
• Intune (in experience) managing applications/devices - very hands on.
• Implementing policies in Intune/password controls/device media/Security Hardening.
