Order Entry Specialist

About the role The Order Entry Specialist processes customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring seamless communication between sales, fulfillment, and support teams. This position is essential for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational integrity. Key responsibilities Enter and verify sales orders in the ERP system with 100% accuracy. Confirm product availability, pricing, and delivery dates with customers. Coordinate with inventory and shipping departments to resolve order discrepancies. Maintain up-to-date order status and communicate changes proactively. Generate and distribute order confirmations, invoices, and shipping documents. Track order progress and follow up on backorders or delays. Document and report recurring issues to improve the order entry process. Required qualifications Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to spot errors in data. Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with ERP or CRM systems. Effective time-management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously. High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or related coursework preferred. 0-5 years of experience in order entry, sales support, or a similar administrative role. Nice to have Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar ERP platforms. Basic knowledge of inventory management and supply-chain processes.
