*New Wages* Machinist A - Fourth Shift

Job Summary Shift: 4th shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Work Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Location: On-site, Mankato, MN. Minimum supervision required to carry out machining and fitting of metal parts, tools, and machines. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings and performing progressive machining operations to achieve tight tolerances. Responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to lay out and perform work. Set up and operate all available machines and machine tools, and perform progressive machining operations. Determine operation sequences and select proper tooling and machining strategy. Operate CNC machines, including programming fundamentals. Monitor coolant quality and change coolant as required. Perform daily/weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency. Carry out other duties as designated by supervisor at the same salary grade or below. Qualifications Two-year vocational or accredited school graduate, or equivalent, plus three (3) years of experience. Knowledge of machining practices and techniques, basic mechanical principles and shop mathematics. Experience with setups, tooling applications, operating methods, and machinability of materials. Must be a sole U.S. citizen. Skill in using machinist hand tools and mechanical judgment. Compensation Starting salary: $33.08 to $40.00 hourly, plus 10% shift differential (~$2.00 per hour). An additional technical differential may be attainable after meeting CBA criteria.
