Job Description:

- Provide both routine and advanced nursing care with a focus on long-range goals and planning.
- Lead and delegate effectively to manage clinical situations with competence and confidence.

Responsibilities:


- Meet the expectations of our One CHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Utilize the nursing process - assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Job Requirements:


- Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
- Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- Current STABLE certification required (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants).
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
- Current NRP certification required.
- RN License in the state of TX or compact.

Position Requirements:


- All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member.
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is necessary.
- Preferred experience in a Perinatal Setting or completion of Perinatal RN Residency.

Work Schedule:


- Night shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM
- Full-time position available.
